What To Expect

The Restorative Power Program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to cultivate a culture of connection and peace within our communities. By shifting away from punitive approaches toward addressing misbehavior, our program empowers participants to engage in dialogue and address underlying issues collaboratively. Key program objectives include:
 
– Introduction to Restorative Justice Practices: Participants will gain insights into the principles and practices of Restorative Justice, fostering a deeper understanding of its application across diverse contexts.
– Hands-On Experience: Through participation in Class Circle, Community Circles, and School Restorative Circles, participants will have the opportunity to both witness and actively engage in restorative processes, fostering empathy, accountability, and reconciliation.
– Conflict Resolution Skills: Participants will acquire and apply practical conflict resolution techniques within classroom and school environments, promoting constructive dialogue and resolution of conflicts.
– Leadership Development: Empowering participants to take on leadership roles, the program equips individuals with the skills and confidence to facilitate Circles and lead conversations on campus, fostering a sense of ownership and agency within the community.

By embracing these methodologies, the Restorative Power Program aims to foster a culture of understanding, empathy, and accountability, ultimately transforming educational environments into spaces where relationships are valued and conflicts are opportunities for growth and reconciliation.
